Sustainability policy

We are committed to defending the environment and the values of sustainability and responsibility because we know that the future of the Earth depends on our behavior towards it.

For this reason, we have received the Ecostars certification and the Greentour ecolabel for our firm commitment to ecology. Besides, we have adopted the following measures in the holiday home El Solei:

Energy saving

• The electrical energy supplied in the house comes from 100% sources of renewable origin.
• The appliances are with energy use A.
• The lighting both inside and outside are made with light bulbs and / or low consumption. In addition, the outdoor bulbs turn off automatically when there is daylight.
• The bedrooms have an automatic intelligent heating or air conditioning switch-off system with the window open. When the window closes, the air conditioning system restarts.
• Installation of 9 solar panels of 410w each for self-consumption.

Recycling

• We encourage the selective selection of trash in the following fractions: glass, paper, plastic and organic matter. There are different recycling bins in the kitchen and also in the BBQ.

Water saving

• Shower taps and artichokes have devices for water saving.
• Double discharge toilet cisterns.

Swimming-pool

• The water disinfection system is by a salt chlorinator which means that no chemicals have to be added to the pool water. In addition, it has positive benefits for sensitive skin.

Garden

• The garden of the house is a Mediterranean garden with trees and plants adapted to a temperate climate.
• The grass is able to withstand drought well in summer thanks to its root system.
• Automatic watering in the garden to avoid unnecessary water consumption.

Social policy

• We firmly believe in the local products, this is the reason we always try to buy our products from the local shops.
• In order to improve our services, we encourage customers to fill out a valuation survey.
• The house is adapted for people with reduced mobility.
• We work with an ethical bank.
• We have subscribed an arbitration agreement with the Consumer Arbitration Board.
• In the bathrooms, organic and ecological shower gel (no single-use plastics are used).

Mobility

• Bike rental available at the house to move around.
• Our house is a bikefriendly holiday home with services for cyclists.
• We offer the possibility of charging the electric vehicle (it must be requested in advance).

Sustainable tourism

• We encourage a different way of traveling and of enjoying with respect and care for the environment through different routes to discover the environment on foot or by bike.
• We recommend restaurants in our area to discover the local and typical cuisine of the area.
• We promote the proximity and km0 shopping.
